At Lincoln & South Brewing. Teammate: Kim. Outcome: Won a three-way tie for second place (the top three finish in the money).
Kim and I, playing as “One Cat and Two Dogs”, stormed back in the final round to finish in a three-way tie for second. We won the tie-breaker, which involved throwing a small rubber chicken at a target.
Keith McCool hosted last night’s game. His categories (five points each) were Dinosaurs, Superheroes, Which Decade?, Alcoholic Beverages, Sports Cities, and Voice Actors. He offered plenty of chances to rack up bonus points.
We lead off with the questions we got partially right:
Name the members of the Fantastic Four (either real names or secret identities). We went 1-for-4, getting Invisible Torch right but whiffing on the rest of them. The correct answers are: Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Sue Storm aka Invisible Girl/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm aka Human Torch, and Ben Grimm aka Thing.
